Greaseater

greaseater.jpgThe Greaseater is recommended for gravity sewerage systems, sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants.  This device is a fully programmable, accurate, dosing system with integral 24-hour, 7-day electronic timer to dose a calculated volume of bio-fluid to the drainage system.  The bio-fluid will digest any fats, oils and grease deposits transforming them to innocuous fatty acids and water. It automatically applies controlled doses of bio-fluid directly into the wastewater drains overnight and every night, building up a resistance to grease coated drainage lines as colonies of the tiny bacteria develop on drain surfaces. The bio-fluid contains harmless, naturally occurring micro-organisms selected for their ability to produce complex enzymes capable of degrading oils, fats and grease commonly found in drains, grease traps and sewers. The fluid also produces enzyme complexes for the breakdown of other waste materials including starch, protein and vegetable matter.

Use of the Greaseater will:

·         Reduce pumping problems.
·         Reduce or eliminate odour problems.
·         Maintain free flowing drain lines.
·         Reduce package sewage treatment problems.
·         Improve hygiene standards.
·         Reduce maintenance costs.
·         Provide “Fit & Forget” technology, as no action at all is required by in-house staff.

Installation cost includes supply, fitting and commissioning of the device.  Only a fused 3-pin socket is required for a power supply.  The device is compact, silent in operation and has minimal power requirements.  The first 12 months supply of bio-fluid and quarterly service visits are also included in the initial purchase price.

After the first twelve month period an annual contract is entered into since replenish visits are required every three months when a service is also carried out and this annual cost includes any spares required (parts and labour) for the duration of the contract as well as the supply of bio-fluid.

Heavily grease-congested drainpipes should be cleared manually by rodding or jetting before installation of the Greaseater, to prevent the risk of blockages from the initial loosening of large grease lumps.
